Postive Test Phase procedures & Orange Alert Information
December 6, 2020

Dear Club Executives:

As a gentle reminder EMSA would like to advise all clubs that:

-       if there is a positive test of COVID 19 within your soccer organization

 -       or someone has been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID 19.  (In this circumstance, it is expected that the club contacts their Health Unit to determine how this may impact other members in the club).

it is time to activate the Positive Test Phase within your COVID 19 Emergency Response Plan, from the Ontario Soccer Return to Play Guide (Page 29-34).

The key goal of this phase is to prevent further infections within your organization and minimize program disruption.

Once your organization has activated your Emergency Response Plan, please notify Ontario Soccer, EMSA, local health unit and your internal members.  Any COVID cases reported to EMSA or Ontario Soccer should be confidential and not to include names or personal information.  Please include the number of individuals tested positive and/or how many teams/members have been asked to isolate.

This phase remains active until the infected party has been isolated and under the control of professional health authorities and there is not further threat to the health and safety of your soccer organization’s participants.

Please stay vigilante and take the time to review your club’s Return to Play Guide to ensure the safety of all during these challenging times.

Thank-you for your assistance and understanding.
