ENGLISH TOP MARCONI AT HOME 2-1
A cool breeze and a perfect sunset set the tone for the last
regular season game between English and Marconi
Near-perfect playing conditions constituted the backdrop for
an interesting match between Hungarians and the White Eagles
at the Polish Club in Nilestown.
Recently a Member of Our Soccer League, went above and
beyond to help a fellow Player, we wish to commend him.
Below is an open letter from EMSA Council & WOSL
Commissioner to MORLEY HAYNES the trainer of the London
English Team in WOSL 2nd Division :
...........
Dear Morley
Sir, you are very highly commended for your actions on June
7th 2008 during the game between London English and
Wallaceburg. You are a credit to your profession and we, in
the soccer community, are honored to have you present during
games.
Was it not for your professionalism we could have lost a
member of our community on that day.
Sir, on behalf of all of our soccer community, EMSA Council
and the WOSL Commissioner wishes to thank you and commend
you for your actions. Super job and well done.
Peter Rombouts - 2008-06-13
We would like to note the passing of Peter Rombouts a member
of our Soccer Community.
Peter himself never played soccer but he dedicated a lot of
his spare time to the Taxandria Falcons. Over the years he
was a coach, field convener, equipment coordinator, board
member and he was a driving force behind the development of
the new Taxandria complex and the fund raising committee.
Feature Match - June 7 - 2008-06-11
SCOTTISH SOLVE BOSNIAN RIDDLE
Scottish met Bosnia on their home ground for a very warm and
breezy Saturday afternoon game.
Please Note, it is the Home Teams responsibility to ensure
they have properly booked their field for all League Games
and Cup Games. It is not the responsibility of the League.
If teams are having difficulty obtaining a home field during
the week for Cup Games, there has always been the same
option
(with proper notice) available by contacting the league and
trying to arrange another date for the game.
This Saturday evenings game between Sarnia Fury and
Middlesex United Hawks in Third Division West saw speed and
agility matched against size and strength.
As this is a new system, late game notification is turned
off, but starting next week, it will be turned on again, so
it is important that you review the tutorial and ask
questions. In addition, please note that it is your
responsibility to submit goal scorers. Right after the home
team submits the score, away team should login and submit
their goal scorers, if any.
Game Reports, Goal Scorers - 2008-05-09
IMPORTANT: It is impossible to
submit game results without entering team roster first (YOU
HAVE TO DO IT EVEN IF YOU DO NOT PRINT GAME SHEETS FROM THE
WEB SITE). As the season moves into full swing, you
should do it ASAP. At this point we will not submit late
results, but in the end you will have to have all the
information in.
When entering team roster, you have to
enter OSA numbers, if you do not have a number at
this point, put number zero (0). You will not be able to
save the roster, even if you miss one number.
Please take your time and do it as soon as you can. If you
have any questions, use the support form:
The first game of the season in the WOSLs Second Division
saw London English FC taking on Hispanos in North London on
what was initially a cool and rainy afternoon.
and fill in the support request form. Please make sure that
you provide all the information, most importantly your
current e-mail address and issue you have the problem with.
2008 Season - 2008-04-25
A new season is just around the corner, and I anticipate it
being one of our best years to date. We now have 60 teams in
6 divisions, making our league one of the most exciting to
watch in Ontario.
I want to wish all Clubs, Teams, Players, Coaches, Managers
and Supporters all the Best. I look forward to seeing you
all on the pitch in 2008.
