Under 12 District team training sessions starting in 2012 are for competitive (L5 or higher) players (boys and girls) born in 2000.
(***NEW THIS YEAR*** For Players born in 2001, there will be several training sessions to introduce you to the program and prepare you for the following year. Information regarding the U11 Program can be found after the U12 program information, below.)
What is the U12 District Program?
The U12 District Program is the first step in identifying potential players for the Provincial level. At this stage, the district team coaches work with and assess players based upon their skill within the Provincial system of play. A District "team" is then formed. This team will continue with training with a view to the Regional ID Camp, held in London in October. From there, invited players will train with the Regional Coach, a Regional "team" is then formed with a view to attending the Provincial ID Camp held in Toronto in September of the following year.
The District program does not form a traditional "team" and any player who tries out with the program will not have to choose between his/her home team and the district program.
More information for U12 can be found here.
Download a registration form here.
(Please hand in your registration form to the District Coach at your first session. It is not necessary to pre-register. Do not send forms into the EMSA office.)
