COACHING REQUIREMENTS

Compulsory

All coaches of competitive teams must have completed the Respect in Soccer online certificate before April 15, 2012.

Information for Coaches

 

★The Respect in Soccer must be completed by all competitive head coaches and assistant coaches by April 15th, 2012 in order to be registered to your team. If you have a Respect in Sport certificate this is transferable to the Respect in Soccer certificate. The instructions to transfer your certificate are linked here.

 The MED (Making Ethical Decisions) was a component of the Theory segment of the coaching diplomas a number of years ago. Since the courses have changed that component is no longer part of the diploma and it must be taken to complete your coaching certification.

 

 

TO COACH A COMPETITIVE TEAM IN 2012

If you have your Senior Diploma you are certified to coach a competitive team provided you have completed the Respect in Soccer certificate.

OR

Completion of the Soccer for Life + MED + Respect in Soccer Certificate

OR

Completion of Learning to Train + MED (for U9 to U12 males and U8 to U11 female) + Respect in Soccer Certificate

OR

Completion of Soccer for Life + MED (for U12+ male and U11+ female) + Respect in Soccer Certificate

to check your certification with NCCP. This includes specific instructions to print your certification and to report errors to the OSA.

The MED is offered via workshops, correspondence or online. Check with your club to see if they are hosting a MED workshop. Courses are listed here.
