EMSA Board Positions and Nominations for 2022
Please be advised that Elgin Middlesex Soccer Association’s Annual General Meeting will be held:
WHEN: Sunday September 25th,2022
WHERE: BMO Centre – 295 Rectory Street, London, ON
Each year at the EMSA AGM there are Board positions that become available. As per the EMSA By-laws, Rules and Regulations:
11.2 At Annual General Meetings held in even numbered years the President, Treasurer, Registrar and one (1) Director-at-Large shall be elected by ballot for a two-year term.
11.9 Nominations for Board Positions must be received in writing 30 days prior to the AGM. Nominations will only be accepted from a District Club or League in good standing with EMSA. A list of nominees will be published 15 days prior to the AGM. Nominees can provide a resume and or a letter of position that will be posted 15 days prior to the AGM.
For the 2022 EMSA AGM being held on September 25, 2022, the following process and deadlines will apply.
A member in good standing with EMSA seeking appointment to one or more of the following positions at the 2022 AGM
President (Current John Laverty)
Treasurer (Current Brent Ashby)
Registrar (Current Simon Karahalios)
Director-at-Large (1) (Current Eliana Caranci)
will require a written nomination from a District Club or League in good standing with EMSA be filed with the District Administrator (admin@emsadistrict.com) by August 25, 2022.
The District Administrator will confirm with the nominee that the nominees are willing to stand for election to the role(s) which they have been nominated. The nominees will be provided with an opportunity to submit a resume or letter of position as part of the process
The District Administrator will post a list of the nominees for the various positions as well as any resumes or letters of position provided by the nominees by September 10, 2022
The election of the Board positions will take place at the AGM on September 25, 2022
As well, please advise EMSA of any members of our soccer community that we have lost in the past year so that we can take a moment to remember them at the AGM.
